No wonder our landfills are filled with garbage.

Looks like the right filling but doesn't fit my mop. Apparently my mop filler is now elusive and I was forced to buy one to match this filler even though the mop I already have is years old. No wonder our landfills are filled with garbage.

  • There's something to it

TERRIBLE - SORRY FOR ORDERING!

1. The nut is missing from the box, so the sponge doesn't stick. I had to use a rubber band to hold the sponge on the base. 2nd, another nut came loose in the water, 1st time I washed it. I had to use a metal wing nut to hold it in place, but I know it won't last long because the "screw" part is plastic. NOT metal! Whoever came up with this idea has no idea about the technology and the wear and tear of objects. NOT ORDER!

  • Worth the money

Slightly disappointed

I've used a quickie mop for as long as I can remember. Had to order this refill online as I couldn't find it in my local stores (they switched to newfangled, more expensive alternatives). It looks and works just like any other filler I've had and works the same except as another reviewer said, the fiber pad you put on top and use for stubborn stains will NOT stay in place and is therefore useless. I don't know what they changed, but it's very bad.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Annoyed

Doesn't clean well with detergents

I have an old butterfly sponge mop but couldn't find replacement mop heads so I ordered this one. It's mostly lightweight plastic (my old mop had a metal handle), the wringer part works but feels fragile. All I could live with was a cheap mop. Unfortunately, the mop head material is not an absorbent sponge. It's a harder material with more open cells on the sponge and basically just pushes through some soapy water without soaking up much. I'll probably give up mine and look for something that…

Very good mop! for replacement pads

I was skeptical after reading some reviews about this mop but decided to give it a try anyway. I had an old version of this Quickie Mop and it was very heavy, but being metal it got rusty and one of the springs broke. When this mop arrived it was a lot lighter and I thought it wouldn't stand up to the current work but I was wrong, this is a very good mop. I actually like that it's a lot lighter and doesn't rust. I hope to be able to live with it for as many years as with the old model. It was…

the perfect distillation of American know-how. to benefit consumer

How often does a sponge fall apart after days and weeks of use? not very often. But one freeloader managed to make a sponge mop that fell apart after a dozen uses on a 6' x 6' linoleum floor. It's quite a trick. Instead of sticking with a mop, this is a unique sponge, they divide it into two sponges, and the top layer is mainly torn from time to time at the slightest provocation. And guess what, you need to buy more mop heads, which have almost doubled in price in the last 10 years. My guess is

Quickie let me down

I have had three of the same type Quikie mops for 25 years. So far they have been a 5 star mop. Quickie went cheap without caring about its market. The mop head is smaller. The sponge leaves too much water on the floor. The cleaning pad does not stick to the front. You have to get into the dirty water for that - no thanks. By the way, I prefer a cleaning brush anyway. I've had it for less than a week so I don't know how the plastic parts will hold up; compared to the metal parts on my mops…

Pros
  • Mop head size: 24cm x 7cm x 4cm
Cons
  • Unbelievable price
