    disassembled - household items

    No use, they have 2 sponges of different colors glued together. Why? To make it look better? They separate and only a thin sponge remains. Why doesn't just a sponge work?

    I've been using the Quickie mop for a long time. The sponge lasts a long time, but I wanted replacement parts before I really needed them. This mop is lighter than my old mop, which is good.

    Poor/Poor Quality

    If I'm not happy with a product I don't usually rate it, but these replacement mop heads have disappointed me. On the second use they immediately started falling apart. I am very dissatisfied with these mop heads. I am sorry.

    Nuts for plastic nuts!

    Having 2 packs helped as one of the plastic nuts provided did not fit properly and did not hold the sponge to the mop handle. I used another nut from the 2nd pack of sponge and it worked. Poor quality control of small plastic nuts!

    The product is good but the mop is difficult to use.

    The mop method of removing the water from the sponge requires a tilt for the system to work. It is not easy for older people to work. I'm 78 and it's hard. It should sit higher on the mop and wring out the water more easily.

    What I needed: Accessories

    Properly sized nozzles are hard to find in stores. They fit my mop head perfectly and for most of the year I've been trying to find something bigger that fits my mop head. Check the mop type and see if they work. If so, buy them. buy some! You may not find what you need in stores.

    Fits old Quickie mops - holes need to be drilled

    We have a Quickie folding mop with sponge that is over 20 years old and originally used a Type H sponge replacement when I got it Couldn't find a few years ago (or they were expensive) I found that modern replacement parts could be used. Drill approx 1/4" holes in the metal bracket in the correct locations and they will fit. The attached photo shows the hole pattern - 6 1/2" spacing (blue nut/caps removed for photo). This is a great replacement and will last for many floor cleanings.

    My quickie mop head is still holding up after 20 years. Too bad about the Quickie replacement sponge (and accordingly about the company itself). Everything possible has been done to make it cheaper. The nylon mounting screws are a terrible replacement for the original steel screws (they broke on first use). The sponge itself is small. The self-attached cleaning strip is a joke (not attached). I'd love to tell you about a better replacement (I'm still looking) but I can tell you to AVOID this…
