We love this game. You just have to find the best way to achieve it as keeping up with the pads would be very expensive. Use thinner paper for them and lower the price of notepads. A hand covers only two single player games. Ask four players to play at the same time and let's face it, you usually play at least 3 games and end up with 8 hands!

This dice game with mat is ideal for traveling due to its small size. The game is based on a combination of luck with the dice, strategy and reasoning. After a few games, players' confidence increases and addiction begins. Each game can be played for 20 minutes. An added bonus is that we even played Zoom recently and each family had their own game. We usually play more board games, but this Quixx game has become a new addition to our game nights.

Our family loves this game but I don't like replacing scorecards. We got over the 100 original cards that came with our QWIXX game pretty quickly and I was disappointed to find that buying replacement cards was so expensive. I ended up pulling the trigger to order more BUT this time I took some cards and laminated them. Probably 10? We don't always use laminated cards, but it's nice to be able to use reusable cards and know I don't have to buy more.

What I like best about this game is how conveniently and neatly it packs into a bag, pannier or whatever. This is our favorite travel game with kids because we can play it at the dining table while waiting for the food or traveling on the plane, whatever. I hesitated to buy it for my family with daughters because many people in the reviews could not understand the instructions. Her kids are 9 and 11 so I was worried they wouldn't be able to play. Qwixx is a great little game that can be played quickly, takes up almost no space, allows all players to play each round and requires some strategic thinking. This can be learned in minutes, but it can keep players entertained for hours. (OK, maybe for an hour or so). Since this is a review of logs and not games, I'll just focus on that.
