2018 CHEVY SILVERADO

Fits my truck. I disconnected the battery, plugged it into the OBD connector, reconnected the battery and started the truck. No more cracking when accelerating and also has less lag.

Works perfectly! for spare parts

I drove around the city for 4 days and the car never left V8 mode! Throttle response is better and clunky shifting and low speeds are gone too! Worth the money for peace of mind. I've done lifters before. 2007 Sierra New body with 153,000 miles. Gas mileage hasn't changed, but hey, you don't buy these trucks to save on gas.

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Negative impression

Easy to install, major engine improvement

The unit had a major impact on my C7 Corvette, it had valve flutter and rattle when changing from 4 to 8 cylinders. It was easy to install and the results were immediate. The cylinders no longer switch, the clattering of the valves is gone, the engine runs smoothly and feels much more powerful and smooth-running.

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • I have no real complaints about it, everything is fine

Plug and Drive V8

Recently installed on my 2018 Sierra 1500. See video. I installed with the key off and ignition off. Works (so far) just like a device twice as expensive. No more V4! I drive my truck every day so the bad battery ratings are zero for me. I will update if there are problems. Make sure you order the correct device for your vehicle. It works! It is great! October 27: Device works great!

Does not work with 2019 Camaro. Kills Battery

Useless! Made my car splash and idle like it was stalling. My 2019 Camaro didn't like this module at all. This prevented the V4 from starting, but the poor idling was terrible. I stopped, removed the module and everything was back to normal. Also, I read that this module will kill your battery. Good idea and concept, but poorly implemented in terms of design. Not the seller's fault. Just a product that hacks into your computer and can cause all sorts of problems. I would advise against…

Just holds 8 fits ignition parts

It's easy to install and works on my Silverado even though I didn't disconnect the battery. Since I installed it it hasn't run on 4 cylinders once and it doesn't drain my battery. It goes off when I turn the key. The truck feels like it's regained its pep, but I also installed it after replacing the rocker arms and jacks a second time. I hope this product saves me from having to do this a third time. I can't give a proper mileage rating in this review as I haven't tracked it, but I will and…

This DooHickey actually seems to work.

After reading all the horror stories about collapsing hydraulic lifters and premature engine overhauls due to the Chevy AFM system, I decided to use a bypass widget. Installed after disconnecting the negative battery cable, then started the engine (2018 Chevy Silverado 1500 with 5.3 liters and 24,000 miles). The unit worked as advertised and I never had a V4 drip during a 450 mile round trip with a small closed cargo trailer carrying about a ton of weight. Mileage dropped from 22mpg to 13mpg on

will disable other sensors

I drive a 2008 Chevy Silverado 1500 4-door Z71. There were problems with oil consumption and burnout thanks to Active Fuel Management systems. I was about to buy another device but couldn't have it delivered in time for our trip to Florida. So I bought this item. I drove back and forth to work for a week and it worked out great. I could tell the engine stayed in 8 cylinder mode and didn't switch to 4 cylinder. Drove 8 hours to Florida and back, everything was fine. The truck used some oil but…
