🔪 Rada Cutlery USA Made Vegetable Peeler with Stainless Steel Blade, 7-1/4 Inches, Aluminum Handle, Silver Review

My original knife is 20 years old and can still cut off a piece of skin or a nail. This new one isn't as sharp, but it's sharper than the cheap ones my daughter bought. It was a gift and she thinks it's ok.

This is my second Rada cleaner. The first one is probably 20 years old or older and still works fine. The aluminum handle has changed color because it has been put in the dishwasher. The manufacturer recommends hand washing only to prevent this, and as with all cutting utensils, washing in the dishwasher will dull the blades.

the handle is NOT stainless steel but painted aluminum which will dissolve in the dishwasher leaving a black finish powder that stays on your hands ( Rada - the left one). For comparison in the photo on the right handle. No comparison - Henkel is more powerful, dishwasher safe and has better ergonomics. The latter, by the way, is made in China. Rada is trash and ended up in the trash after 3 uses.

Just received. Finally a knife with a sensible design. I don't understand those vegetable peelers with huge bulky handles, all the muscles of the hand tense up just from holding the handle. THAT'S COOL! thin handle, very comfortable. The blade rotates, but not where it attaches to the handle (making any knife prone to breakage). It's just brilliant design, comfortable and durable and the blade is very sharp. I'm about to order another one for my mother.

Instantly cleans potatoes and vegetables. It's very drastic and, to be honest, quite surprising. The skin won't stick (you know what I'm talking about when you have to pull the skin back off the peeler). I'm a guy who cooks in the kitchen all the time and I love it and it fits in my big hands. You may have noticed that I had to varnish the handle of the knives (light brown). It was a cheap pot metal and would corrode immediately if put in the dishwasher. It's a good scrub aside from that issue. The best in the photo is the one on the right. The one on the left is the worst. It took 2nd place. It was described as stainless steel but it is not. First of all it was almost too small for my average sized male hand. This may or may not affect you, so I do not include this aspect in my review. Second, the design isn't what you could call essential. There was a feeling like it would bend and break from the first use. It finally broke after about 2 months of use. Third, the peeling effect is not so great. I have an old OXO purifier that works just as well if not better (which isn't saying much) and I wanted to replace it. Looks like I'm back

It's rare that a part doesn't fall off the blade perfectly. You know, like every other knife I've ever used, you have to take out a slice after each cut. It's like someone finally figured out how to do it right. My -1 star because it looks like something you can buy at a dollar store. If it had even half the technical design of, say, an underperforming OXO product, it would be the best-selling jointer. . Not sure what it's made of, but my other aluminum kitchenware isn't.

I had an OXO knife with a thick handle because at the time it was all I could find in a store.
