📱 RAM Mounts Form-Fit Cradle for Garmin eTrex 10, 20 & 30 - Enhanced Compatibility with RAM Diamond Ball Bases Review

I already had the rest of the mounting hardware, so all I needed was this stand. Typically a high quality RAM product. etrex fits well and snugly without interfering with gluing. Just make sure you already have all the other parts you need. Very happy with it. I use it on a dual sport bike.

I gave the stand holder 3 stars because there is no way to connect the Garmin to the bike's electrical system. The cradle presses on the end of the mini-USB cable, causing a power outage and turning Garmin off. I think a 90 degree mini USB connector would help with this, but I couldn't find one that pointed in the direction of my bike's power entry. Otherwise, if you're only using battery power, this holder is pretty strong and reliable.

I am relatively satisfied with this carry cot for mountain bike use. I paired it with a RAM Mount RAP-274-1U, you need this part to act as a cradle mount. One aspect of this stand made me very happy: it fits the etrex 20 with the belt clip attached. Because the stand is deep enough to clip on, this is a bulky mount. See my photo to get an idea of the size of this particular rig. As mentioned, you really can't connect a charger to this stand.

I bought this unit to use on ATV trails. I use a RAM handlebar mount with it and it installs easily. It is very durable and holds the device firmly. Shock, shake, dirt, water splashes and small twigs will not be lost. What I don't like is that there isn't room for the USB plug to fit in the mount.
