This product is great! The blade and handle are very well made and the blade is incredibly sharp. Ideal for grating hard cheese or grating citrus peel. It even comes with a handy storage lid. Overall I am very happy with my purchase.

A well made and handy tool for grating hard cheeses and citrus fruits. SHARP blades and a well thought-out handle make work easier. The blade cover easily attaches and detaches for safe storage in a drawer. A small brush will make it easier to remove the whole shell from the cracks. Very happy with this purchase!

This is a creepy highlight! The grate is too big for a good bowl. Not only is the resulting shell unsuitable for use in desserts, but the shell itself is difficult. Those big holes make it impossible to get a good rhythm. I was hoping for a bowl to use instead of pulling out my grater, but when I need a bowl for pastries and desserts I go back to the cheese grater.

I ordered this last month but didn't get a chance to use it until recently. I had no choice but to use it at the time, so I didn't send it back. I have used this product once and can say the blades are too sharp. I know it sounds like no problem. Of course they're spicy, it's a grater! But as if the teeth were too far off the plane. When I tried to peel the lemon, the lemon got stuck in my teeth and my hand kept moving. As I continued to peel the lemon, it caught on my teeth several times and flew out of my hand almost as many times. There are also holes/slots on the blade cover for some reason. This microplane has many great features: solid construction, strong grip, small brush, protective cover, nice looks…. EXCEPT, it doesn't do what it was designed to do! I took it to work and tried to peel a lime and it just rubbed the surface of the tines without peeling off the green skin. I had to squeeze a lime on it and rub it VERY HARD on the surface to get a few morsels of spice. That's NOT how they're supposed to work. The teeth were almost horizontal, meaning they wouldn't hook anything.
