I shave 5 days a week. My beard is thick and coarse. Gillette Fusion razors last a maximum of two weeks on me. Sometimes 1 week I have to do multiple passes in multiple directions. I don't shave on the weekends, so Mondays are the worst. I've been using the same blade for 5 weeks now. It works out. Does the edge line hold the new blade? no Does it shave well after normal use? Absolutely!

Honestly I don't know what to say about this product. I've tried using the Razorpit with the Gillette Fusion Proshield Men's 8-piece razor blade replacement cartridges and have only found that the strips wear out twice as fast as usual. Can't say the product is bad or doesn't work, but these Proshield blades aren't cheap and it didn't help at all to extend their lifespan/comfort. I will say that prior to switching to Proshields I used the Shick Hydro 5 which allows you to fold back the moisture

Bought this sharpener. I shave 6 days a week (5 days for work and 1 day for my wife) and just threw away a 6 month old blade. I'm not saying every razor will last as long, but definitely way longer than you can imagine. It is important to remember that this does not return 100% performance to the shaver. but you get 80% every time you sharpen it. I used this as directed and thought it should work. But then I changed blades and found that the old one (I sharpened the blades on it for 30 days) was definitely dull. My legs are finally smooth and beautiful again. The blade I used the blade sharpener with was new when I started. To be honest I thought my feet were just dry because of the weather and maybe my hair was growing a little faster because of my hormones. nope The blade was damn dull. I used the knife sharpener daily as directed.

To be honest this sharpener seemed pretty stupid when I first saw it. Currently? I swear by her wholeheartedly. In fact, he copies the old strap that barbers used to clean/sharpen their razors. Works as advertised. I have used this product on a new Hydro 5 blade (different gel head, larger grip bar and sharper blade angle along with closer spaced blades) for the last 73 days. So far, so good. It is also important for these results that the blades are 100% dry. I wipe the edges of the blades with a terry towel and finish with a hair dryer.
