I wanted and ordered a Renogy 10Ft 10 AWG Solar Panel and Controller Port Adapter Cable MC4 Extension Cable…. But I have a Renogy 30 30A MC4 waterproof flush mount bracket, black. WTH happened?

Actually I have already bought four of these kits. They work perfectly! They give me just enough extension to set up my panels in the configuration I want. They are heavy and they do the job perfectly!

This is exactly what I was looking for as a portable solar system for my trailer. These cables have performed well for the time I've had them and I see no reason why they won't provide many more hours of use in the future. They are strong, durable and sold for a system that will be moved from place to place. Thanks very much!

I attached them to my panel. Then 2-pin quick connectors were added to the ends of the bare wire. I attached a different quick connector to my charge controller. That way I don't have to screw in a wire that's in pain. Make sure you use 10 gauge wire throughout. But if you only use 1 12 volt battery you can get by with 12 or 14 gauge.

Had to troubleshoot and find a bad contact (MC4 connector on cable). I probably spent 2 hours of my time removing panels from the roof and troubleshooting every connection with a multimeter. I was able to fix the connector, but I want/expect my pre-made cables to work first time. I still buy Renogy but I test everything on site before installing.

The cables are made of aluminum and are therefore quite thick to carry electricity. Great quality and good lettering but they don't match my Renogy Solar Power Panel. The plug is marked positive and the cables I received are also positive. So I need a positive socket, not a plug. Of course, I just flipped them on the controller, ignoring the red positive marks, but didn't think that through very well, I might add. Hm

I bought 10 AWG wire thinking it would fit 12-10 AWG crimp terminals. The cross-sectional area of 10 AWG wire is typically 5 or possibly 5.25 mm square. This wire is bigger. As it says on the packaging, the size is 6mm. I wouldn't normally complain about a more reliable product, but they don't match my Ancor 12-10 AWG crimp terminals.
