My fridge froze everything in it, this solved my problem, the installation was a bit difficult due to the location but not extremely difficult

I replaced the thermistor by cutting off the old one and plugging this in. (Easier than trying to pull the wire through the back of the device. It works fine.

I'm trying to fix my fridge on wheels myself so I started with a thermistor. No problem, my fridge still won't be cold but my freezer will be. Hmm, one more thing.

Fits our old fridge to replace the original. I don't like that the tip isn't included in the original slider/holder but sits on top/outside with the cord inside. However, it works!

Withstands approx. 2600 ohms without packaging. Not what is required for a replacement thermostat for Dometic fridges. They require about 6 kΩ at normal room temperature and regulate the operation of the compressor when the threshold is shifted. I had a thermostat hanging in front of the van at over 80 degrees and the fridge never turned on. If I can recommend removing this product, please consider it.

Thermistor works fine but there is a problem. When they made this replacement part, they used thinner and cheaper wire. This means the overall diameter including insulation is much smaller than the original thermistor. The problem is that you now have a hole in the grommet on the back of the fridge. This allows cold air to escape easily. Sure you can put some silicone or aerosol foam in there, but what would I need that for? This tells me that the product was made for cost reasons rather than…
