I've only used the dough hook half a dozen times and found it broke somewhere during my testing ;(. I went online to find a stainless steel hook hoping to fix the problem remedy.

It fits perfectly and feels solid. Since I've only had it for a few days, I can't test how well it holds up when kneading bread dough with it. I was very disappointed when my original hook broke while kneading the tough dough.

This item did not fit my K5 car as described but when I informed the seller they were quick to refund and didn't have to bother returning the test hook. I'm sure they will update the description so this doesn't happen again. Excellent customer service!

Used new nozzle a few times. Everything seems fine. I replaced the kneading hook with a metal hook because it discolored during cleaning and the black coating was removed. Hope the coated version lasts. Always wash the original dough hook by hand and dry it immediately. I've read that coated hooks can chip. I think Kitchen Aid will solve this problem given the cost of the mixer.

I've had my KitchenAid for a few years now and I often use the dough hook that I usually put in the dishwasher. However, the color was starting to peel, which I didn't think would be a healthy addition to my family. I was afraid the replacement would be expensive but it was very reasonable. It looks exactly like the original (except all paint is intact), fits and works the same. I chose to hand wash and expect it to last for many years.
