I only bought this water pump because my cat was so upset that her fountain wasnt working. The new pump works finw, but it doesnt change color when the water is low! My cat alerts me to the fact that there is no flowing water.This also means that the pump will probably go out FASTER than the original pump did and i will have to buy a new one. again. We will see how long this pump lasts.

I bought this to replace the pump in my cat's water fountain which had stopped working. The only bad thing I can say is that the light does not fit onto the pre-made spot that is in my fountain, so I juat lay it in the bottom and it still lights up. This pump works great and overall I'm very happy with it. It was delivered quickly too!

The Comsmart Pet Fountain Pump works very well (as long as my cats don't play near it and knock the plug out of its connection in the wall). It is relatively easy to install. It is quiet, and I like the tiny LEDs that also allow it to be a night light. The one problem with these pumps is their lifespans: 6-8 months seems to be the maximum. I ordered an extra this time so my cats don't have to be without their favorite water source for the 3-4 days it takes to arrive.

The picture shows the LED with a little black nub that's supposed to fit in the circular LED section at the bottom of the tank . mine did not come with that so the LED light is just floating sadly in the water. Pump works though so I'm not too disappointed.

Ordered this replacement pump. The description identified that it was compatible with our cat waterer. However, it has a very small difference in the housing that does not allow it to fit. So.it may work fine with the right waterer. But do not trust that it will actually fit what it says it will.

Received the original second hand from my son. Didn't realize I needed to clean the pump and after 6 months it stopped working. This is exathe same and works perfect. Wish I had gotten the brush with it though.

Item arrived quickly. Matched my previous one to a t. Same operation and clean out as original. Just wish it came with the little black foam pre-pump filter. Just means I've got to be diligent about proper cleaning.

I bought this 4 months ago and it’s already broken. I bought the same thing from a different person and that one also broke 5 months

Product is different from the one I purchased before. This one doesn’t have the fixing nod at the bottom of the light. ( see attached pictures) the old version VS the new version. So the blue light is now hovering in the water (as it cannot be fixed)Other than that, it works good, almost no noise. Hope it lasts long

Bought this as a replacement for an old pump, delivered on August 11, stopped running Sept 16 and we clean it regularly… the light still comes on but the pump doesn’t run. there’s no reason this should happen

When I got the product it was super cool and lit up my round cat flower fountain. The pump was a little too big and the pressure wasn’t the best, but it did what it needed to do and made it a cool light. I have had it for two days and it’s already broken. Everything is intact, but it doesn’t respond to being plugged in. Super cool if it fits your fountain and actually works.

I've had the unit about 2 years and am ordering my second replacement motor. Would like it to last longer but the replacement is inexpensive so I deal.

I bought this to replace the pump in one of my cats’ water fountains when it wore out. They work very well and are easy to clean, and I have had no problems with these. The nice thing is that most of the fountain seem to use the same unit, so they are very easy to replace and can work in a variety of fountains. I have only ever needed to buy one of them, since they don’t seem to wear out very quickly.

This product was amazing when I first got it! Worked like a charm, came in quick, what more could you ask for? Unfortunately, not even a year later I'm having issues with the motor working. I have to keep the pieces off the motor and flick the propeller a few times under the water to get it to turn on. The last time it took a few minutes to finally get it to work and it's a pain to have to keep it underwater to put the other pieces back on. If they get that fixed, it would be great!

This is used with a fountain my cats love. Get ready to empty the litter box more often. The one that came with machine burned out in 6 months. I'm guessing it was due to no auto shutoff and the fountain was out of water. Now I fill daily, regardless of amount left.

We bought a cat fountain and the motor that came with it stopped working after a few months. We bought this one as a replacement thinking there was no way to get into the motor itself to clean it. Turns out there is! 🤦🏻‍♀️Make sure you clean out the motor itself, we clean it now once a month when we swap out the filter, and now it works like a charm!Super easy to clean too just pop open the side, removed the small cover over the fan and remove the fan, it's magnetic so it'll pop right back…

I’ve had the fountain less than year, so I’m hoping the original was just a faulty pump, but the new one works like a charm and was easy to replace.

We purchased this pump to replace the one on our cat fountain. Installation was a little difficult, but manageable. It worked just fine but 6 months later, and it just stopped working. The light stays on but the pump just stops. Unsure as to why, and there’s no way we can reach out to customer support.

1st one ordered never showed up. 2nd one did. Very easy to install. Didn't have to buy whole water unit for cat when pump can be replaced.

Pictures are accurate. The adaptor that’s on the original pump is omitted. So you must pry the one off your old pump and transfer it to the new pump. The fit is not as tight and since it is in the water I don’t want to glue it. The pump is described as light weight. The pump is easily 40 grams lighter than the original and is also missing the flow control setting the one that comes with it has. Live and learn. I hate throwing away such a large chunk of plastic but we shall see.
