Description of Reprapper Low Warping ABS 3D Printer Filament: Premium Quality for Reliable Prints!

Low warping – Modified ABS (MABS) is formulated to have less warping than standard ABS making easier to get successful prints in domestic printers. The odor when printed is lower that of standard ABS. Great for functional prints: Stronger than PLA and PETG, resists higher temperatures and the printed parts can be easily sanded, drilled and painted, or glued and polished using acetone. Despite being low-warping, this ABS still requires a heat-bed and a proper printing surface to avoid warping. Big parts are prone to warp in domestic printers. 100% tangle-free and problem-free: State-of-the-art filament, produced with laser diameter control and automatic winding system guarantees success even in the longest prints. Save time and money!. Profesional packing & Technical Support– The spools are hand checked, dried and then vacuum packed in a resealable bag to preserve the filament between uses. We provide guarantee and technical support.

Low Warp?: 3D Printing Filament

I bought this material because I was printing long, thick parts that kept warping. It's marketed as "Low Warp" so I decided to give it a try. I had a terrible writing experience with it. It warped so much that I had to go back to the basic Revain thread I used before (see image for comparison). I spent 3 days and a half spool trying different print settings but could not get acceptable print quality. I've tried glass, smooth pei, textured pei, hairspray, glue stick and even an Overture assembly

Cons
  • Damaged

Excellent pure ABS in 3D printing consumables

My coil was within tolerance (slightly oval, average cross section 1.76mm, max measured 1.78, min 1.74) and excellent prints like ABS. Body temperature 50°, bed temperature 110° (Geckotek surface), hotend 240°. Excellent layer adhesion at 240°. Wrapped well, not too tight and not flipped to one side. The spool isn't the one I've seen from RepRapper before and I like this one a lot better, with a big open hole without the weird smaller inserts. The new coils are not deformed like before. Came…

Pros
  • Industrial & Scientific
Cons
  • Slightly torn

I hesitated but got great results.

Usually when trying a new product I try to decide when in doubt, but let's be honest this filament is relatively cheap, not much better than the competition, hopefully as good as the quality and is it also from CHINA? Well, like I said, the thread was available "next day," so there's that, and at a very competitive price, so there's that. I was really impressed with their product ads page - I know it's weird but they really made an effort to not only promote the product but also their customer…
