Cheap construction, LED bulb not working upon arrival.

Cheap plastic body and especially the carrying handle - don't drop this radio. The sound quality was tinny, the dials were difficult to use. My model's LED light would not turn on. The battery indicator flashes while charging (disturbing in the dark) and the indicator does not show that the maximum charge has been reached.

  • Comfortable

Good deal, good product. you need one!

This is a good little radio for NOAA weather information. It's easy to use, charges easily (multiple ways), and seems pretty solid. It is rated for high humidity (not waterproof) which is ideal for Florida hurricane season! The sound quality is what you would expect from a small speaker, but the sound is clear and the volume range is good. All in all a good product at a good price. I bought this as a gift for family.

Battery Champ fits radios

My biggest complaint is that the antenna feels flimsy. Other bad things: AM has a repetitive popping sound that's annoying at low volumes, tuning is a bit difficult to pinpoint a station, and it's difficult to turn the crank while holding the radio. Glad the radio lasted a long time. long before it needs to be charged. I used it for a week in a remote area with no access to any power source other than the sun and it kept working. I didn't even touch my AAA backup batteries. The FM sound quality

Decent little emergency radio with weather bands

Seems to be a decent little emergency radio. It picks up a few FM stations indoors and an AM station or two when I'm outside. It features a flashlight with SOS mode and a siren, as well as a solar panel that turns on instantly even when clouds are blocking the sun. Power Options: Solar powered, manual crank, plug-in lithium-ion, and AAA battery charging. I like this feature, backup power from a regular battery. This should be included in all emergency radios, especially if they use name brand…

Pros
  • Absolute legend
Cons
  • Expensive insurance
