Portable marine VHF radios

Can't comment on the water resistance but it holds up well and has good battery life. I think this is a good transceiver for the money.

is only suitable for the weather channel I was stuck on the lake near New Orleans for several hours I tried to call in May on all the channels I could not get through, I finally reached the water patrol on my phone and they came. I only give this radio one star.

Durable appearance, easy to use

Well the radio has a solid commercial grade body and a VERY strong clip that is secured with screws. I seriously doubt you'll clip it if you stumble upon something! I assume it will last a long time.

The battery life is EXCELLENT!

Works well! We had one from West Marine and this is the best! Many additional functions. I like that he is always scanning and monitoring the most important sea stations. I haven't dropped it in water so can't comment on the water resistance.
