I had my hair done for a wedding last month and the stylist used one of those backcombing combs I've never seen before and was amazed by their volume thus reached. As someone with fine hair, this has seriously increased my efforts to add volume to my hair.

To be honest I didn't know how to use it at first and thought it was a fake. After watching a few YouTube videos, I realized that you really need to start teasing about 6 inches from the scalp and lowering it down to add volume. Once you've done that, you can smooth out the top layer to give it a fresh look. It also works well if you spray on some dry shampoo first.
