I've had it for about 2 months and use it for a few minutes every week. As long as it holds up well. It's a very faint light that stays on for a short time while I press the button. Also the sound is very thin. It's fine for my use, but someone might want a more dramatic effect. I've been using it for three years or more. I use it weekly, just a few strokes at a time and it's still glowing. I'll buy another one if it ever gives up.

It was cheap and that's why I bought it for my kid. Less than 4 hours later the button fell into the stick. I had to try to take it apart, which isn't easy and it looks like both ends have melted, but I was able to open it up, slide the tiny circuit board and put the piece of rubber back behind the button. If it were easier that would be great, or if the button was a bit longer to not get lost in the wand it would be great. did i fix it Yes. Should I fix it? no My kid is still obsessed with it.

Makes no sound with every key press. When the light is on, the light is not visible. I bought another brand for twice the price. Judging by the reviews, some sticks work and others don't. I received a full refund on my Rhode Island Novelty purchase. The return was organized quickly. That's why I gave 2 stars based on the reviews, some sticks work fine, others have issues. The price is great and not too big for small children. I ordered another stick from another company.
