These things are pretty durable. I had to move my aftermarket door speakers forward from my window to keep the speakers from sticking out too far and that helped. Just bring the drill there instead of dropping the screw. The material is MDF, so treat it accordingly. Overall good, I recommend

Since I have my own 3/4" MDF and make 4" rings for the same project, I can see a big difference in the quality of the determine the MDF used. They feel brittle and even started breaking when I screwed them to my car door. In comparison, the MDF I used was very strong and sturdy. You could probably break that ring on your leg. I wouldn't try the ones I made. This will get the job done. When installing, just be aware of its weakness.

Don't be like me, be sure to measure the space you plan to place them. The outside diameter of the ones I received was 7.5 inches, not 7.3 inches as stated in the description the product image showed. That quarter inch or so was enough to keep them from working with my 2000 Honda Civic. Quality looks good, wish they could fit in front of the door where my 6.5 inch speakers are. Otherwise they would work with the 6.5 inch Rockford Fosgate speakers I have.
