Tooless connection, Just plug one cable into the front and one into the back of each port. Wall plate looks the same on the front and back (female to female). Fits standard outlet boxes and low voltage mounting brackets. Jacks in RiteAV plates are removeable for future upgrades. High quality RiteAV item. Screws included.

Unreliable Best in Distribution

The plastic casings of 3 out of 4 HDMI inserts started to peel off resulting in unreliable connections. Glued them back together.

Provides a clean connection for cables

I removed the drywall from the wall where I installed the TV and routed the cables to this TV outlet. a pair of HDMI, an Ethernet cable and an antenna cable. This makes the cables more manageable and offers a very clean interface.

This will probably work with 2 x 6 walls and will probably be ok with non-recessed sockets (I haven't tried it.

This panel will not work with recessed socket housings. It's a very deep panel and with a 2 x 4 wall construction there is no room to connect HDMI cables to the back of the panel and mount everything in the wall. This will probably work with 2 x 6 construction walls and will probably be fine with non-recessed boxes (one non-recessed I haven't tried the can) plate idea good, but it's just too deep to connect hdmi and bend it to a small area.
