A question of security. Emptor Warning

I've seen reviews where people said their breaker wasn't working when it was supposed to. Well, my situation might be related to that. I ordered a 15 amp switch but received a re-branded 20 amp switch. 15 amps at 120 volts = 1800 watts (my outlets are designed for this). 20 amps at 120 volts = 2400 watts and potential fire hazard. Be sure to check the parts you receive!

Used to fix my Cargo Port Compressor!

My Port Cargo Air Compressor started tripping via the built in circuit breaker after running for a minute or less. In order to completely fill the tank, you have to hold the switch about a dozen times. Use this circuit breaker as a direct replacement for the original. Superb build quality far superior to a standard air compressor unit. Plugged it back in and now the air compressor works great.

It does not respond to short circuits.

I installed this circuit breaker on a circuit that has a 20A slow blow fuse. I didn't want to replace that fuse every time the microswitch bounces, so I installed this 10 amp manual reset switch in line with the fuse. Current flows from the main wire through the circuit breaker to the power board and the only circuitry on the board from that point goes to where the 20A fuse is located.
