Difficult but interesting project.

I bought this on a whim once and when I first got it I wondered what I was getting myself into. If you take your time, read everything to understand the instructions, this is a fun project. I watched a few YouTube videos showing how to put the pieces together and it really helped. I quickly realized that some parts of the video weren't perfect, but once completed, the rooms looked great. I'm still working on mine, but I'm already trying to decide what my next project will be.

Overall a fun project

I would like to start by saying the box it came in was nice but my parts were a different colour. By different colors I mean the back of the tall cabinet was a different color than the two sides etc. I was going to send it back but as it was just a project for my own enjoyment I didn't. I highly recommend checking all parts against the booklet first as I immediately realized I was missing two parts. I completed everything with no missing parts in about 8 hours. At 15 you can!

My daughter asked me to buy her one of the miniature dollhouse sets. What she REALLY wanted was bigger, more expensive and very complicated. I told her that for her first sentence she had to start with something smaller. We agreed on Lisa's tailor. She did it in two weeks. I just helped cut the loop off the scissor pendant (I have metalworking tools which made the job easier). She said it was great fun. Sketchy instructions but still fun and super cute when you're done! Gotta get my own paint!

The reviews I've read about it are mostly true - the instructions are terrible. Photos are blurry, small and missing steps in the process. I had to skim some because the directions were so bad. In addition, wooden parts do not always fit together. It turned out to be cute in the end, but if this was my first DIY dollhouse experience I'd quit and play tennis. It took me about two weeks for an hour or so a night. You should really get your own paint - the amount they give you barely covers it and
