    The microSD slot is defective, apparently a disadvantage of many of these hubs

    Unfortunately, the microSD slot on this device (even after replacing it with a second one) does not accept a card. That way you can insert them, but in a weird diagonal way that doesn't get fully inserted, and the card is never recognized or mounted by the host computer. I saw a comment from another buyer of this product saying they are having the same issue with this device and are only using an SD card adapter with a microSD in the SD slot.     The jury is still out

    I've been sticking this on the bottom of my new Mac for weeks. I've used the trickle charge feature to charge my iPad and I'm here to say it didn't work at all. After five hours, the iPad was less charged than before. I will try again and also use the USB function and report back. Not sure yet. I'm glad I kept the box for a return.

    Finally USB and SD card access on the front of your Mac!

    I love everything about the iMac except maybe the card reader and the USB ports on the back of the iMac. It takes care of both of those problems. Another thing it fixes is that my Mac can't read UHS II cards, but this adapter allows me to read all the latest card technologies. I like the look and the extra functionality it brings.

    Card Reader didn't work initially but everything is fine now

    After installation (just when you got the idea) I tried to use the card reader and at first it didn't work. As soon as I plugged in the USB device it seemed to "wake up" the hub and the reader has been working really well ever since. It's so nice to have USB access and a card reader on the front of the computer. I also appreciate that inserting the SD card doesn't require much effort and the card doesn't have to be inserted very far for it to work. Much less wear and tear. USB cable could be a…

    Don't know what to do with it

    Yes. I don't know what to do with this center. It attaches well, doesn't completely block the vents. I find this hub to be very difficult to build in to insert my micro SD cards. I have so many problems inserting micro SD cards that I have resorted to inserting my micro SD cards into the SD adapter and using this slot. Still, I feel like this center pretty much failed me. Also, I tried formatting the micro SD cards inserted into this hub, which resulted in an error! I can easily use other hub…

    Nice addition but wish it had a headphone jack.

    Good quality product. I wish it had a headphone jack too, but that doesn't bother me. It fits Mac style perfectly. When you clip it into the air vents on the bottom of the iMac, it stays in place pretty well. It will move a little but it won't come out. The silicone pads on the parts hold it up pretty well. It's nice to have easier access to USB and SD card ports, with the added benefit of a microSD card slot. A small blue light indicates it's connected and glows slightly on the front panel and
