Bought for the car so the cord doesn't get in the way. The phone fell off the console and the connector came loose. Not the usual wear and tear of the cable, but its complete unusability. Now I understand why it is sold as 2 packs. I'm afraid to try again. This time the connector came off my phone. Not sure of the damage if this part was left in the phone, I don't want to find out by trying a second cable.

UPDATE: I got this in March 2019 and after 7 months one is still working and the other has stopped working. I don't know if mine still works because my friend didn't take care of his, because he used more than me, or because it had to fail. Still a good deal for the price. I buy a lot of Apple chargers. We have 4 apple products in our house that we use on a daily or weekly basis. Because of this, I've learned to tell which chargers are good quality or last a while.
