Easy assembly but disappointing expectations. When assembled it feels very fragile, and the gears and other interactions are not encouraging at all. I would not recommend this model at all.

The assembly instructions are simple, although the wooden connecting pins can easily be lost. It is incomprehensible to the mind to hold a calendar for 20 years in your hands! The gearing system is incredibly intuitive and I often look for reasons to compare it to future dates (unfortunately only 2018-2040). It even accounts for leap years correctly! This makes a great desk toy or conversation piece and is very well detailed. I hope they do a bigger one to cover more time or do a metal version…

It was very easy to assemble. From opening the box to finishing it took about an hour and a half. And it was wise of them to have extra small pieces in case one of them got lost. So don't panic if you have more. It really seems to be something for children. I was a bit disappointed because I thought it would be a bit more difficult. As far as I can see separately a small wooden safe is part of the rating for some reason. It was a bit more difficult, but also fun.

This calendar model is pretty neat. Gathering was easy and straightforward. It took about an hour to assemble (I have experience with models from this brand). The movement is pretty smooth. It was pretty easy to put together. But then the instructions for using the device were not clear at all. I think I figured it out, but only time will tell. Looking back, I should have bought a marble mover to get more enjoyment out of the end product. I think people buying this should be aware that the parts are laser cut so they slide out of the frame and hold them very well and the wood burned graphics are crisp and clear. Received a ROKR pendulum clock as a New Year's gift. I found the quality of the parts to be excellent; The clock was assembled in a matter of days and may not have worked reliably, but it still worked!
