Definitely cools down your HD; I followed the pace.

Will definitely cool your HD; I measured fever before and after. I bought three and one had the power cord unplugged. This is not uncommon with such small wires; You just have to be aware and be a bit more careful than me.

Pros
  • This is great
Cons
  • New competitors are here

Decent block, good steel

The fan is a bit noisy and the Molex connector has loose contacts. Otherwise it's a decent piece of steel - better than plastic junk! The electronic coating applied to it can interfere with the threads on the attachment points. You may need to pre-tighten the screws to ensure everything works smoothly. If you remove the fan, you can install 2 drives in the middle, but only one can be fixed with screws.

Pros
  • cool product
Cons
  • expensive

Very easy to install, all included

I bought a small SSD drive as a boot drive, so I needed a 3.5" form factor tray. I chose this one because it has a built-in fan. Received on time and with everything needed for installation. Installed the SSD and installed on the PC in minutes. The entire backup and boot up took about 20 minutes including the new hard drive for file storage as the previous hard drive had failed. This kit made installation easy as everything lines up and the fan should keep the drive running longer than without…

Keep your SSD cool.

Easy to install in my Dell xPS 8900 Tower Very quiet and my Adata SSD is a degree cooler. Inexpensive to buy, easy to install and quiet. Win Win for ssd / chilled. I recommend this article to Roswell. Just make sure you have access to a 4-pin molex converter or power cord.

Pros
  • Rugged design
Cons
  • Interchangeable

The best kit available for computer accessories and peripherals

I have had to mount several SSDs and I can say that this is the best mounting kit available. It's made of durable metal, and it's easy to install a drive in it and then fit the entire assembly into the case. I can't say anything about the fan because I removed it (when I ordered the version without a fan was not cheaper). Just make sure before ordering that your case doesn't require the hard drive to be screwed in through the bottom holes, not the side. This kit does not support this type of…

Cool SSD, moves the 2.5 " drive much deeper into the 3.5 " bay.

Rosewill RDRD-11003 2.5" SSD/HDD Mounting Kit for 3.5" drive bay with 60mm fan. The installation is quite easy. The 2.5" to 3.5" mounting bracket is very different from the other one I have and moves the 2.5" SSD deeper into the 3.5" drive bay. Also, the fan occupies storage space, so only one 2.5" drive can be installed in this 3.5" space. This deeper offset prevented my existing dual-drive power cable from powering both devices. An extension power cord was required to connect drives #1 and #2

Pros
  • HDD Enclosure
Cons
  • legacy

Well it works. on Computers and Accessories

What can I say? It's cheap (considering you can get fanless mounts that do the same thing for the same price or a little less), and it works. I installed an 840 EVO SSD and it worked great. As you would expect from such a small fan, it's almost impossible to hear, especially given the close proximity to my two intake fans. If for some reason you decide you don't need the fan, it's easy to remove. I did this because the product was sent to me with a fan blowing across the SSD when I wanted it…
