I have a number of external USB drives that I don't need to keep turning on, so it would be nice to have separate on/off switches on each port. Many USB hubs are made of plastic and don't seem to be durable. Some of them are very expensive. But this USB hub is made of aluminum and looks solid. It even has buttons to enable/disable each port. Even better, the buttons are physical buttons that pop in and out in two positions. Not only do they remember their state, such a design is likely to last longer than a button that just sends a signal to a circuit to change states. There's an indicator next to each port to show if it's enabled, but
