Black dust is best for solar and wind power

Unfortunately, as another reviewer mentioned, I'm also missing the black paint/color, resulting in black dust on the inside of the glass. There are 2 photos.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Some bugs

Cool and fun product for generators and portable power supplies

This is a very cool solar powered (thermal) device. Although the silver side of the petals has faded somewhat, the device spins freely in the sun even behind a slightly darkened office window. Cool retrospective science demonstrator that never gets old.

Pros
  • This is amazing

Color stains in the bullet

This was our second attempt to get one of these and the quality was unsuccessful on both attempts. In the case of this particular item, the black paint had peeled off the fins and was spread throughout the interior of the globe. Definitely NOT a quality product. He was returned.

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Nothing

The best radiometer I've ever had.

I have owned several radiometers over the years. Some just stopped working (probably air leaks) or didn't spin well or broke. The latter had to be in direct sunlight before it started spinning. Luckily my cat knocked it over and it broke, forcing me to look for another one. This is the one I chose. It was reasonably priced and looked functional without being overly decorative. Well when it arrived I opened the box, put it on the open table (I was sitting outside on my patio) and it IMMEDIATELY…

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Out of fashion
