My son is 5 years old and 40 pounds. it's a little big but not too big to wear. He will most likely be able to wear it next year, which is great. My son says it's warmer than his last jacket. We are very happy with the purchase and the price. If you want it to fit perfectly I would recommend going down a size.

Beautiful, very warm winter coat. Lots of pockets, true to size. UPDATE: As some others have said, we had problems with the zipper as well. Within 6 weeks, the zipper became difficult to zip up properly and kept tearing. Then one day at school when my son was frustrated with this, the zipper immediately unzipped and the coat became unusable on those very cold winter days. I had to buy another coat. I end up NOT recommending it.

My son loves this jacket. We bought this in black and gray size L (7) for my son who currently wears a size 5/6 (he is 46 inches and 41 pounds).
