In extreme terrain you will see its advantage over the bar you normally mount on your winch. But make sure you only install them when necessary as they will save your life and are too good to hang on your winch all day just for fun.

Hangs low and gets hooked if you want to keep it on the hook, but if you do what I do and put it in a pannier or drawer for tools, this is a huge upgrade from the straps they come with. Haven't used it yet but if you wear gloves or have cold, wet or dirty hands it will be much easier to use.

Have a Rugged Ridge Black Ultimate winch grab handle and hope I never need it. But if I do, it will be much easier and safer for me or someone else to get out of the car than just pulling the hook wherever the jeep takes me. This is a quality product, tested and now in my off-road tool bag for future needs. Much better than the standard winch rope I received with my winch, which of course was borrowed from someone and never returned. The grip works much better when climbing. It was worth it.
