for the price I think these overlays aren't bad, nothing special, but there's definitely nothing wrong with creating bed linens that strike a balance between softness and durability, although they may be 1000 thread count and Egyptian cotton, they still will not made to a standard that would make them particularly soft or impressive.I found them a little flimsy and unobtrusive.But honestly,if you're looking for quality bedding,the only way to pay $19.99 is to buy something on sale. This - We have also washed them on a warm cycle in a wash with light colored clothing and have not noticed any fading or color loss - Although there is no way to verify that they are made from Egyptian cotton which is considered the highest quality cotton, it feels very soft to the touch, high quality and when unpacked did not have any of the weird smells that we have noticed
