Enough for a few hours. Not perfect anymore. super thin Even a small amount of urine will soak the entire pad and seep through. They are washable but don't expect them to last very long.

I use them for guinea pig cage patches where they pee a lot. They almost always feel wet, even after just a few hours in the cage. My homemade ones work much better. However, they are very easy to clean. I would say if you want to clean them every day, get them. Otherwise you'd rather do something else.

If they are to be reused as cage liners, they are no good. I bought 8 and used 4 to put under the huts and they were gross and destroyed in less than a week. I threw them away instead of even trying to wash them because they were so flimsy and didn't seem worth it. The remaining 4 are now used during the round under the towel. I think they're great for catching stray pee, but definitely not good for cage use.

The good news is that these pads have a nice strong backing that seems to prevent leakage. The lining is much thinner than other competitors and if you use it on animals that eat hay, small pieces get stuck in the fabric and are difficult to clean (I had to tear off the small pieces manually). A small piece of fabric has already pulled out/worn on the coverings. This happened within the first week after we put him in our cage with two guinea pigs.

Super soft fleece with excellent absorbency. Like most pads or fleece pads of this type, they get better with every wash. They are the perfect size for my guinea pigs.
