    Disconnects randomly

    Combined with a 3TB hard drive, this hard drive bay can't stay connected for more than 3 hours without any problem. If it was just the hard drive bay it would give 1 star. The USB ports work great. Cheap Cons: The hard drive shuts down randomly. Like the cost of the product, the materials used appear cheap.

    Notes on the chipset Suitable for computers and accessories

    The product perfectly performs the above functions. Note for Windows 10 users: The controller/chipset in this device does not work well with Windows 10 and USB3.1+ ports. I've confirmed this with both a 2020 HP Envy and a 2020 Asus Zephyrus G14. It still works as a USB hub on these ports but shows many problems with a slotted hard drive. Other than that, I haven't seen any compatibility issues with Chrome OS or Ubuntu/Kubuntu on any port type, or with Windows 10 with older types of USB-A ports.

    Seems to do what it does.

    So far I've used it for both old drives and as a USB hub. It's fallen out and come back a few times - just like I've unplugged and plugged it back in, but it's probably just an issue with my motherboard, other things have done this before. I've used the TV adapter to watch TV for a couple of hours through one of the USB ports and it has worked the entire time for this device. With the slices in, the base seems stable, so I'm not worried about them falling off.

    Hot swap function works well

    Because the power button is on the back, it is not easy to evaluate, so it becomes important not to use it. All mechanical drives are easily interchangeable. The USB 3 ports on the front are great too, as they provide quick access to plug-in flash drives. All in all, highly recommended and the price is right. The only small thing I would change is the brightness of the blue power LED on the front. It is too bright.

    Very happy that this is at a very competitive price. More than a dock, it's a hub that connects four external devices to your host. Small note - it has an older version of USB firmware so I'm not sure which one is best for the SSD. Also presented to the host as a Sabrent iSCSI device rather than a connected device when a device is connected.     Constant power loss and cannot read all drives

    This docking station and hub cannot remain on and/or power attached SATA or USB devices all the time. SATA drives in particular don't seem to stay firmly attached to the power and data connector at the bottom of the slot; they swing around. I would recommend that users get used to their drives fitting tightly into the slot.     Poor Performance

    I've seen several reviews describing problems reading HHD. After experiencing it myself and doing some trial and error, I found that the device wasn't working properly with the supplied power adapter (very likely) because it wasn't getting enough power. The device comes with a 12V-2A power adapter. However, I had to switch to a 12V 3A power supply for it to work properly. I'm not sure if this might cause other problems in the future, but it works.     Oh my god, where do I start? I didn't have much experience with it. The first Revane lost on the way. The second one I was able to plug into my 10ft USB 3 cable worked fine with my old one and the USB ports didn't work, the drive didn't work. Before sending it back I decided to use the cable in the box and it looks like the problem is solved, the front ports worked and the docking stations read discs so I didn't return it and my best solution ignored.
