It's the next best thing to having in your luggage if you have it.

This is the next best thing for your luggage if your hotel room doesn't have a safe. It gave me a sense of security that a hotel room attendant couldn't see what was in my luggage.

Pros
  • Exclusively approved by Australian Customs and Border Protection (ACBPS)
Cons
  • A few little things

TSA will cut it anyway

As other commenters have written, although the lock requires TSA approval, my lock was cut off and removed from my bag. There was no indication that my bag had been checked, so I cannot claim any guarantee. Better keep your money and hope nobody steals anything.

Pros
  • Suitable for international use
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly

Broke within a month.

I used this lock to keep the basket lid closed on my scooter which I ride almost every day. Broke after a month - wouldn't close after opening. I bought it to replace my little masterlock that died after about a year. This lock rattled badly while driving, probably got more abuse in a short period of time than if it was in the luggage, but I still expected it to last more than a month.

Pros
  • Accepted and recognized in the US, UK, Canada, Switzerland, Israel, Germany and Australia
Cons
  • Weak Set
