The cat can come and go at night

We use this on our door to allow the cat to come and go as she pleases. We used to have a doorstop but it could be moved or kicked and she yelled at the door in the middle of the night to be let out or let in - this solves the problem. She knows how to get in and out, the door never slams and everyone is happy.

Door no longer slams!

I bought this because my little one already has a certain attitude and likes to slam the door. Much to her surprise, I put it on the edge of the door and the next time she tried to slam it, it didn't work! Not only does it protect little fingers, but it also prevents me from having to slam a door every 5 seconds when my little one knocks.

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons

Safety 1st finger protection

This is foam and not hard. Perfect for my daughter's door. She likes to close doors and this one doesn't close completely. My daughter is 4 years old, she can't reach and take it off. Easy to attach to the door. No tools are required. Not sure how long it will last as it foams. I like that my daughter didn't hurt her fingers. This is a must.

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons

If you have flimsy old doors, this may not be the best option for you.

I bought this to keep the door open for the cat to use the tray. Our house is a little older (circa 1910) and the doors appear to be a little thinner (just under 1 1/2 inches thick) than most made today. While the device appears to sit and stay on top of the door, it is not secured. It works, but due to the fact that the corner of the door is not square, the foam began to crack after a couple of weeks of use. We've had it for about a month and both sides have started tearing and I don't expect…

Baby's habit of slamming the door was cured overnight!

I was desperate for my 2 year old son who discovered the SLOSTING of the door to her bedroom elicited a funny reaction from her father and I. so she doesn't force open the door or accidentally hurt herself. This harmless piece of styrofoam WAS A TOTAL MIRACLE. It stuck to the door exactly as pictured. tadaaaa! She tried slamming the door a few more times, but got nothing but a muffled "sob" in response. After venting her anger at the door for a day, she finally gave in. We continued to put a…

Sometimes simple solutions are better!

So far so good. This pinch guard prevents my 13 month old twins from slamming the door on each other and locking themselves in the nursery and then crying when they realize they are stuck. I've accidentally tried to close the door with it a couple of times and so far it's held up quite well to a stronger push/pull from an adult. I love that I can easily store it on the outside doorknob when closed. Door to child's room during sleep/night (I have a lever handle and haven't tried it on a handle).

Pros
  • Made in China

  • Hard to say

Baby's habit of slamming the door was cured overnight!

I was frustrated by my two year old daughter who discovered that her father and I had an odd reaction when her bedroom door slammed shut. After trying to ignore her behavior, we decided that something needed to be done to prevent her from breaking down the door or accidentally injuring herself. This harmless piece of styrofoam WAS A TOTAL MIRACLE. It stuck to the door exactly as pictured. tadaaaa! She tried slamming the door a few more times, but got nothing but a muffled "sob" in response…

Pros
  • Protects little hands and fingers from accidental pinching
Cons
  • I will be silent

Survived a 15 month old toddler and a 3 year old baby for about 3 months with a standard internal door, not much bullying/slamming in my opinion. I'm pretty sure the kid did it. A 6 inch piece of pool noodle replaced it and seems to work about the same for <1/6 the cost. Pool noodles don't have that high-quality, strong foam-like product, but a noodle forms a bunch (or several long) pieces that can be easily replaced when the foam starts to break. Poor quality foams like pool noodles won't…
