Old and dry - totally useless

I love Pigma Micron pens - when they work. But nothing annoys me more than buying something that wastes my time and money. The pens they sent me were dry and unusable and I sent them back the next day. Luckily the seller made it easy to return them, which pleasantly surprised me. I wonder what they will do with the pens I sent back? Do you think they will send them out to people until someone decides it's not worth trying to get their money back? That's my guess, but then again I'm a cynicโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Great product
Cons
  • Something different

Do not order a set of three pens!

DO NOT purchase a set of three Micron pens from the Bonita Shop. I want to make it clear that I LOVE this type of pen, so I'm not criticizing the pen itself, I'm criticizing the store I bought it from. The three pens arrived in a plastic case, not the original Micron box. They all dried up after a short use! I was waiting for them to complete the project so I was very disappointed. I've just ordered a pack of pens direct from Sakura so hopefully it will be the Micron 005s I relied on for detail

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • New competitors are here

Very practical. My drawing goes back to Rapidograph and Mars Stรคdler. They were good pens but required quite a bit of cleaning and loading the cartridges was a hassle compared to today's disposable pens. I'm still getting used to 0.005 for a very thin line, but the thickness of the line depends on the pressure of the pen on the paper and how long the line is drawn. If I want the thinnest line, I need to press lightly and move straight. When I'm drawing a long, graceful curve where I need to beโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
