works very well. I've definitely fixed the throttling issue I was having on my 6 year old Alienware laptop. The processor can now run at 100% without fully loading memory. No problems starting up and at a decent price, and it brought some spice back to that old computer.

This was dispatched in an anti-static bag with 2 bubble envelopes. This leads to a higher risk of damage during transport since nothing protects the circuit boards from bending during transport. I would suggest ordering this with something larger that needs a box to limit the risk of damage during transit. So far everything works fine on my 15PS82 laptop.

The computer had 2 x 4GB Samsung 204-pin SODIMM, DDR3 PC3L-12800, 1600MHz RAM, needed a set of 8GB to stay with dual channel. Arrived great, works perfectly. Note. I updated the computer's BIOS before installing it, and it's a must! I'm not entirely sure if I needed the extra 8GB of RAM, but that's about all I could do to upgrade my computer. I wouldn't be happy with anything less than the maximum.

I have a first generation HP ZBook with 16 GB RAM [4 x 4 GB]. I pulled out two sticks and swapped them which now gave me 24GB and it definitely made a difference. The extra space certainly helped with my video editing, but it also seemed to speed up my day-to-day tasks. Verification with Win 10 utility shows that the manufacturer is indeed Samsung.
