SanDisk Cruzer Blade Flash SDCZ50 016G Data Storage Review

They work great. I use them for live Linux operating systems, recovery images, and general use, among other things. They're also small and compact, but not too small for work. I love her.

Very cheaply made. ALL plastic. I've had 4 of them fail in less than 2 days of use. I use them to transfer files and store music. They are absolutely unreliable for anything that needs to be stored for a long time.

Noticeably faster than many other drives in the same price range; still relatively slow. Excellent value for money. The plastic casing is slightly more forgiving than the metal casing for regular use (in and out of your pocket all day).

None of these USB drives have failed. Another brand had 2 out of 10 failures over time. None of these SanDisks have failed. You work constantly and at all times. I use them in my car (hot in summer, cold in winter) and they always work. I use them with MP3 files, music and language classes.

Sandisk is a name you can trust, but these discs are pure plastic and wafer-thin. I'm not sure if these flash drives will survive normal use. Flash drive life can be brutal. They land at the bottom of bags, fold under books and paper, fall off, and turn on and off hundreds of times. The USB connector on them is not metal. It's flimsy plastic. AVOID. Sandisk should be ashamed of using such cheap flimsy plastic.

80G in a pack of ten 8G drives and SanDisk knows what they are doing when it comes to this product. I've been using them for years (yes, back when they were measured in megabytes and they were few) and they're light, compact, and work really well, BUT. why would they even think that TEN disks only require FIVE lines. These little flash drives were bought for my older grandchildren and I was not disappointed. (The kids were happy too). Flash drives work well and the little straps are very helpful for kids to keep up with the flash drive. I just wish there was a harness for everyone. Just yesterday my creative little 10 year old great granddaughter wanted to burn a CD of some of the little films she has made and instead I just gave her one with her films on it and a strap to keep up with. I've read a lot of bad reviews but I need cheap 8-16GB flash drives to distribute copies of research materials, powerpoint lectures and microscopy videos. Yes, they seem cheap (Isn't plastic cheap? They might work well for general laptop use, but they're a piece of junk for any other use. I bought ten packs to use as Linux boot disks for work. This means that the first thing that will happen to you will be to delete all partitions and reformat them.
