Reader works great, included cable sucks

Reader works great. I experienced a sustained 400MB/s (3.2Gb/s) read on my Mac Pro. 4 minutes to copy a 93GB file. The cable included in the kit is complete garbage. It didn't fit properly in my Mac Pro's USB-C port (nor did it fit in the reader). I used another good quality USB-C cable that I already had and everything was fine. Why include a cable at all if it's just junk? The 3 stars are entirely due to the cable that came with it (and the fact that it took me a few minutes to troubleshoot).

Terrible reader for Mac, even worse tech support.

I bought this because it was one of the cheapest CFexpress readers from a well known brand. Ironically, it didn't work any better than I expected from the Nameless One. I plugged it into a USB-C hub on my iMac and every time I plugged the card in, my screen froze. Tech support just wanted to blame my setup and was no help, so I returned it and bought a Sony that worked right out of the box. That issue aside, Sandisk is very bulky for a card reader and I have to imagine it would be a hassle to…

More trouble than it's worth!

This device has always been slow. That was bearable at first, but the straw broke the camel's back that lately it could take up to 5 minutes for the desktop to recognize a connected device. To their credit, WD/SanDisk replaced it without much trouble. The replacement - the old "new" device - is recognized faster by the desktop/laptop, but file explorer hangs when I try to copy files from the CFExpress card to my computer's drive. . Also won't read XQD cards

I use a Nikon D850 camera that requires XQD cards and when I found out that CF Express cards also work with a software update I jumped at it. But my XQD reader didn't read CF Express cards, so I'm having trouble with this Sandisk reader. It works great and reads CF Express cards. BUT NO XQD cards. When I plugged it in, my computer automatically turned off. sadness forever.

I believe that this memory card reader caused a power surge on that particular port on the computer that caused the computer to reboot into safe mode. The screen that came up said there was a power surge. I had to restart my computer using the reset button on the front of my Falcon Northwest PC.
