Durable and fast! for IT accessories and peripherals

Bought a new laptop, but only had one Microsoft Card slot, the transmission went via WLAN, but took a long time. I was surprised at how heavy the reader was, which gives me a good feeling that it's durable. The speeds were very high. No questions. I'm glad I went with it

Pros
  • Hands-free
Cons
  • Reliability

Amazing, works great, super fast but no USB-A adapter included

Works great. Very fast. I wish the LED didn't light up with the card, but that doesn't matter, but I gave 4 stars because no USB-A adapter was included. Why isn't that common? We use them on more than just laptops and they are not suitable for desktops. So you need a USB-C adapter. I had to dig in one.

Pros
  • Good stuff
Cons
  • Long

I'm sure it's a good device and I'll keep it in case I need a new computer. BUT, how should I know if my laptop is USB 2.0 and this is 3.0 and not compatible? The required hole size is not available on my laptop. Just saying I didn't know I should have known about the USB version on my laptop. In my opinion they should have made it backward compatible.

Pros
  • Pleasant
Cons
  • Poorly tuned

Works and is reliable

Works great, fast read and write speeds, stays connected, no drivers required. I used all 3 ports of the card. Note that some cards have their own transfer rate limitations. I see a big difference in newer higher rated SDs for my Hero 7 compared to the cards I use in my Hero 3. The micro sd is spring loaded, normal sd and cf slide out manually. . The cable could be longer since I use it with a desktop PC, but it would be perfect for my laptop. Although it connects USB-C to the computer, it uses

Pros
  • Not cheap but decent
Cons
  • Nothing

I got this to replace my old USB 3.0 card reader: Kingston Digital USB 3.0 Super Speed Multi-Card Reader. This USB-C reader is much faster. I ran a speed test on my Lexar 300MB/s SD card: Lexar Professional 2000x 64GB SDXC UHS-II Card. Using CrystalDiskMark, this SanDisk reader returned 244 MB/s, while the same SD card with my old Kingston USB 3.0 reader only managed 73 MB/s. That's 3.3x the read speed of USB-C compared to USB 3.0. has significant weight and appears to be "less cheap" than the…

  • Multiple competitors
