SanDisk SDDR-97-A15 Memory Stick / Memory Stick Pro Reader Review

I bought this when I thought I might need it. Turns out I didn't need it. gave it to one of my friends who can use it. I have no idea where it is today or if it is even used.

The Sony card reader was bought because it looked more portable. Went home and found I had to install drivers just to read the memory card. I don't want to install anything when using multiple computers, especially when using office computers. I read somewhere that SanDisk does not require driver installation. I was fooled! The product was sent for the Sony Stick reader, not the reader shown in the photo. The company did NOT replace the product and didn't even apologize for their mistake!

When I received my Sony Cyber-shot, in the box was a SONY catalog with a memory card reader for $59, I found this one on Amazon for less than $20 and I' I'm very happy with it because it's true plug and play, no drivers required, works with my USB 2.0, and reads MS and MS Pro like many other types of memory chips. I'm not very compact, light weight and much better looking than Sony's white reader, so take it with open arms.

This was not at all the experience I was expecting based on the information posted by Amazon. The SanDisk SDDR-97-A15 MS/MS Pro Reader was labeled as an advertised product, but got something else. Calling this real deal was awkward, uncomfortable and cold. The product I received didn't look like it. I couldn't even put in a standard Sandisk card. I don't think I will ever be able to use this item. I would like to exchange it for one I can use. I think the one provided misrepresented that point!
