Stromboli Strap Check

I've had excellent reliability with SanDisk products, this drive gave the impression of reliable performance. I would buy again. I contacted the amazing Stromboli customer service, they found and removed the faulty row of belts and offered to send me 10 replacement belts! Yes Stromboli support!

This pup gets very hot

At first I was excited about this great technology, but after plugging it into my iMac's USB port, the drive started to get hot. After less than an hour of use, the disc was too hot to remove with bare hands. I fetched a hot mongrel from the kitchen, pulled out the disc and took it out with my gloved hand. I'm wondering since "heat is the enemy of electronics" how long this device will last.

I don't know why they meant Type C because it doesn't fit for iPhone Pro Max 😑 which is a Type C phone. A waste of my precious time.

Transfer speed not as expected

I have a small 1TB flash drive. I connected it to my Mac Pro via USB 3 and was only able to transfer data at 62.1 MB/s (write speed) and 151.9 MB/s (read speed). I got almost the same result on my new Macbook Pro with (Thunderbolt) with USB 3. For comparison, my very old 128GB USB stick has a write speed of 84.2MB/s and a read speed of 132.7MB/s. My WD My Passport 2TB SSD (USB 3) achieved 919.5 MB/s writing and 898.6 MB/s reading via USB 3.
