Incredible performance in a very compact and lightweight vacuum cleaner. Works great on hardwood and tile, great on baseboards and cleaning blinds (suction port to reduce suction works great). Very easy to carry and use in a small space, easy to carry and use on stairs. Bought my first 10 years ago and it still works great. Here's the problem with this otherwise great vacuum. The suction power is excellent. Until you suck up something that clogs the first 6 or 8 inches of hose that isn't removable. The main downside to the design is that there is a bend where some things get stuck. I'm talking about regular fluff, etc. You can't take this part off to clean it, and there's no point in the manufacturer making such a bend. Cannot recommend this vacuum cleaner. Bought for portability and compactness. However, the bottom of the device gets very hot after a short time. This is the third one I've bought. I received this as a gift. Overall I was happy with mine. For a small, inexpensive vacuum cleaner, the suction power is excellent. It is easy to use and replaces paper bags. Works best on hard floors and furniture. My daughter loves that it treats pet hair. This vacuum cleaner is awesome. It's very light with amazing suction power. I used Dirt Devil Lite which now feels heavy compared to this sanitaire. I was initially skeptical about the plastic head and tube, but the cleaner worked well and the plastic tubes and parts make it easy to use.
