Satechi matches quality

I've always loved that the Satechi brand has keyboards etc for our Macs. This adapter worked great for my 2020 MacBook Air when I needed to plug my Apple SuperDrive directly into a USB-C port rather than a hub. This hub is heavy compared to others like the Nonda that I also have, but they are so small it doesn't matter.

Backwards compatible in USB-to-USB adapters

You need this adapter if you want to use the newer USB-C connector with the old ones. Newer Macs and iPads use USB-C, and if you have older devices that work with the previous version, you'll need an adapter. Buying an adapter is a lot cheaper than replacing some older model accessories. This adapter looks good and works perfectly. It is easy to carry as it fits almost anywhere. Highly recommended.

USB-A connectors have been around for a long time, with the first standard appearing 20 years before the start of the new millennium. USB-C is new in this box, bringing faster data transfer, much more power delivery, and the ultimate "one-cable” connection to everything you could need. But right now we're in a transitional world between the two - you probably have a lot of peripherals and devices that only connect to the USB-A port, like thumb drives, printers, etc., but now you can find them…

Satechi Same Quality
