What happened to Saucony?

The once reliable and exemplary shoemaker seems to have become very average. I've ordered several pairs over the past few months and have found them to lack the quality, that instant comfort and support that brings a satisfied smile after you lace them up for the first time. I thought my opinion might be too harsh until I bought an old but new pair on e-bay. Of course, they were of the same high quality and comfort I had previously experienced with Saucony. Such a shame. Best trail running shoe for the price

My wife and I tried many different brands of running shoes before deciding on the Saucony outing. They are perfect for those looking for a snug fit in the heel, a wider fit in the toe and arch support. After just a few days, they have a feeling of shape all over their feet. They are very light and the sole is very durable. You can spend an extra $50-$100 but these are great shoes for the money. As we get older, we run less often, instead walking about 4 miles a day on trails and back roads. We…

Not the Saucony quality I'm used to

Bought these to replace my old Excursion TR6s but figured not to worry. My old TR6s proved to be much more comfortable even after years of touring and wear and tear. I suspect Saucony just doesn't make them the way they used to. I should add that I also have an old pair of Saucony Eclipse TR3s and they are a lot more comfortable too. The heel of the TR14 felt bumpy when worn, and the fabric and stitching, even the eyelets for the laces, didn't feel as solid as my older models. So I returned…
