A handy tool for the seamstress.

Very easy to use, versatile, insert and read codes. I work a lot on my car and the simplest things can cause the check engine light to come on. It's very helpful for me to have this at home so I don't have to run to Autozone or O'Reillys to get them to review the code. It also allows me to clean the code, which is great because a lot of places don't clean it for you, they just tell you the code. This is a great tool to keep in your tool box.

Good product. Great price

I bought this product because it seems like the workshop is always closed on Sundays when things get naughty. The device itself is good but the manual is in small print and could be a lot more informative for people like me who have never used it. And I couldn't find a YouTube video for this particular one. If you know how to use it, then yes. Excellent purchase! Would give 5 stars if the manual was better printed and more informative for a beginner.

Answer hands in minutes

Simple and easy to use. I tried the bright LED display at night, it was bright and clear. A very thorough check. Then just check the Google engine code and you'll know what and where your trouble spots are. After we just cleared the codes, all of the check engine lights went out, which is great when you have to get through the smog. Great value for money. Would definitely recommend to friends and family. No trips to the mechanic, the answers you need are at your fingertips in minutes.

It worked but had errors

He did his job - great and cleared the code but it wasn't easy. On the Honda Pilot m2015, the connector didn't fit well at first. The thin plastic casing around the pins made it difficult to connect. Plugged in and works. The instructions are printed so small that you need a microscope to read them. Codelist or link not provided. I'm keeping it because it did the job and the price is right. It wouldn't take long for this company to improve their product.

Handy little tool: diagnostic, testing and measuring tools

I chose this diagnostic tool and I am very happy about it. It comes in easy to open packaging and comes with a booklet with very easy to follow instructions. I have Rheumatoid Arthritis so I have a hard time getting under the dash. I found my car on the web and the location of the plug. I photographed the connector and was able to connect the instrument correctly without having to reach under the dash. I found the OBD2 scanner very easy to use. I would recommend it without hesitation. A monthโ€ฆ

Amazing code reader!

From time to time my car decides to turn on the check engine light. Instead of stopping at the local auto parts store or mechanic to read the codes, I can just pull this out and scan the car to see what the code is. Often the gas cap doesn't close properly, so it's easy to fix and annoying to run around these spots to try to figure out what it is. I can do most car repairs myself so having a code reader to tell me what my car is saying wrong is very handy! I also like the ability to clear codes

Confirmed misfires without a visit to the workshop

10 years old on my car, this is the third time I have had hard idling and acceleration. I was pretty sure it was cylinder 4 again and if so then the problem is a bad wire causing the ignition coil pack to be short. The misfires were very severe, I was close to home, I parked it, ordered this OBD2 reader and it arrived within 2 days to confirm my suspicions. I fixed it for less than a hundred dollars, including this reader, without having to tow my car or make the misfires worse. My onlyโ€ฆ
