Efficient Scanpan Classic Rack: Medium, Enhancing Kitchen Organization - Black Review

I have this grid in 2 sizes, medium and large. I use them in broilers that are not Scanpan. The large rack fits my very large All Clad pan and the medium rack fits my small Calphalon. They fit well so don't hesitate to buy if you have another pan brand. The stand is very durable. Holds any weight roast or chicken. Cleans like a dream in the dishwasher. No nooks and crannies for food to get stuck in after washing. Highly recommended!

Love it! Very durable and well made. Exactly like in the photo. Too bad they didn't make a smaller version of this rack. We have a 14" x 8.5" oval grate for another brand of pan that is in desperate need of replacement and we couldn't find anything to replace it. Why are they so hard to find? Not that people can afford to buy new braziers when cheap racks usually wear out. In any case, it's amazing! The price is worth it.

Ideally I would have found something a little narrower but this was the best I could find for my pan. I tried a curved silicone-coated steel post that was the perfect size, but I never liked it - oddly difficult to clean, even by DW; and a ball joint kept falling off so I was worried it would happen during the DW cycle and glue the whole $1000 car together! Preface to my comments I would like to say that I paid well below the list price for this grill because I found it on sale. I like her size. I couldn't find this oversized stand at any local retail store. The quality seems a little above average when I compare it to other similar racks I've had. The metal itself is also a bit thicker. I feel like I got a good deal for the price I paid for it. Finally, for those wondering, it's made in China.

Great quality, strong enough to hold a 12lb ham. I've been looking for a well-made stainless steel grate for a long time because I wanted to avoid Teflon and other non-stick coatings. Teflon is not recommended for high temperatures. The problem with my previous non-stick grate that came with my grill was that the non-stick coating corroded where it made contact with the pan due to the heat. I expect this to be a useful and sturdy little griddle. Note, however, that this must be a "big" rack. The dimensions on the box are 17" x 12" x 3". The actual dimensions are much closer to 13" x 11 1/2" x 3". The only size that measures 17 inches is diagonal! However, it is suitable for the Calphalon fire bowl. I was looking for a durable roasting stand - solid stainless steel, no chrome plate or teflon coating. I ordered it in a small size and it is exactly what I wanted.
