👟 Scarpa Vapor Women's Climbing Shoe Review

I wear size 7 and 7 1/2 outdoor shoes are snug and comfortable enough to carry them without climbing; tried 7 1/3, too tight on heel, tendon cut. The heels stick tight, on the toes they are clear, but the rubber is not sticky, it slides strongly on the overhangs.

I sent these back even though I bought them for a really good price: they burned my back ankle really badly and would definitely blister or cut me. I might have had to go up a half size (I usually wear a women's size 6.5 and have a 37.5) but it felt like the shoe was designed to be stiff and pinch the heel/ankle. It seems that a quality assembly, but not for me.

This is my first pair of moderately aggressive boots since my Scarpa Origins. I had the choice between Vapors and LaSportiva Miura VS and I feel like I made the right choice. I have very small feet and exceptionally small heels and my Origins have always slipped when caught in the heel. Also, I could never pull them tight enough with velcro straps and the straps started falling apart because I was pulling to tighten them. All that has changed with my new Vapors!
