I bought the unit in December 2018 but had health issues and was only able to activate the unit at a Chrysler dealership in July 2019. It turned out that the device was useless and could not be activated. I contacted the seller who offered a half refund. Now I have a useless block for half the price.

We paid $65 to have it programmed at our local key store. In the same day you had to press buttons several times for it to work. Very cheap. Luckily our van sold out in a few days so that's not our problem anymore. We have alerted customers to this and advised that they may wish to order directly from the manufacturer.

The cost of this car was negligible compared to our local dealer. I then took it to Battery Plus where they charged $60 for programming and $10 for making a key, key making is optional. Total cost including this key fob, programming and key making was about $85 saving over $200 at the dealer. That works great. If you decide to upgrade to Batteries Plus, you can call ahead. I found that the three places I called all charge different amounts for the same thing.

I have a 2010 Dodge Grand Caravan. This key is perfect. I programmed it at the dealer for $50! The seller warned me that this key may not be programmable because I did not purchase it from them and that I would be responsible for paying anyway. I dared and it worked! I'm so glad I did. I saved $200 buying these keys from this company. For your information. The trunk release button wasn't a feature I used to have on my van but I figured if I bought it with that key my trunk might open…

The keyless entry was a good replacement. Works well and haven't had any problems so far. One of the original car keys for our 2012 Dodge minivan kept draining the battery and even changing the battery only unlocked the doors without opening or closing the doors. At first we were disappointed that we couldn't program the replacement key fob ourselves. In our situation we had to take the key fob to our dealer and they did it for $50. I realize that $50 plus the cost of the keychain is a lot less
