The quality of this Ford Escape stereo kit was excellent. I had to cut some plastic out of the mounts to get it perfect, but basically I was picky and made it perfect. The surface finish is the same as the original and looks great. Shipped just as fast!

Installation was great, only problem is the mounting tabs use holes which are not used in an OEM radio (at least for my application) to mount it. You will need to use your own 4 bolts, nuts and washers or zip ties like I did. In addition, equipment, workmanship and quality are first class.

Product is a very good match for the 2012 Ford Escape. If you take black, small gaps (less than a centimeter on the sides) will become invisible. The only reason I know about this vulnerability is because I installed it. The instructions are clear and the installation is very easy. TIP - Get the Dashboard Tool Kit before you buy, it's less than $8.

The item was incomplete I am very upset I finally opened it today I ordered it a few months ago and of the two side pieces there is only one and the other I didn't get a great product if the whole damn thing was there and now I can't even put a radio in my car because the sides don't go into the dash like they shut off.

Instructions and online videos aren't very helpful in fitting it to the existing bulky dash window - it takes a lot of trial and error. Luckily I bought the Crutchfield main unit and the customer service has been EXCELLENT. I wish gloss black was available for the same price. EDIT I found a gloss black that matches my existing bezel but is much more expensive

Not sure if this was returned and returned or if quality control at the factory was poor, but the top two screws holding the heater controls were snapped off. They didn't even come close, they just kept spinning. I hope it sticks well with the bottom two holes or I'll add glue later. Other than that, it looks and fits well, although I didn't like the stripped screws. It was actually very easy to assemble. I have a 2011 Ford Escape. And it was really easy. The only problem I would say is that the radio doesn't connect to the kit at all. That's the only reason I'm not giving 5 stars. Once you understand how it holds the radio in place, it's very easy to figure out how to set up your radio so that it's positioned exactly where you want it after installing the DSSI kit.
