Description of Scott Resources Economy Igneous Collection

Sold as a Set of 6. Set of six metamorphic rock specimens for studying rock and mineral properties in classroom demonstrations and experiments. Metamorphic rocks form under heat, pressure, and, sometimes, chemical processes that usually occur deep below the surface of the earth. Includes the following specimens of slate, marble, gneiss, schist, amphibolite, and anthracite. Packed in a resealable bag that is labeled with the name and description of each rock.

They were all really cool too and very reasonably priced

We ordered three rock sets (sedimentary, metamorphic and igneous) and all three were exactly what we were looking for. They were all just plain cool too and very reasonably priced.

You won't be disappointed

The stones are accurate, big and beautiful! There is a small description on every package you buy. I use a tea box with compartments to store them. I use these stones with Montessori friendly Waseca materials in my stone cycles, they are a great addition to the visual stone cycle.

Great set, we have two each.

My daughter used this for her science experiment to freeze different rock classes. Great set, we have two igneous, metamorphic and sedimentary rocks. Unfortunately some of the stones were difficult to identify from the description so we had to google them to make sure we were tagging them correctly. Apart from this excellent service and product!
